Okay, so I’ve had this product for a while and haven’t gotten around to using it until last week. It’s the Moisture Rescue Refresh Gel Cream from Garnier. Here’s the description from the site:
“Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream locks-in moisture and blocks-out dryness using a formula with a unique combination of pure antioxidant fruit water extracts and skin conditioning Vitamin E.”
Personally, using it has worked really well on my skin. It adds moisture, while not feeling heavy or uncomfortable on my face.
In order to use it, I first wash my face at night in order to get rid of my makeup. Then, I just add a little dab to my finger, then beginning in the center of my face I spread it in circles using my (clean) fingers until my whole face feels like it has the product on it. I then rub it down my neck a little, and put a small dab on my lips to moisturize those as well.
It makes my skin feel soft, and it smells like cucumbers to me, which I love! After the gel dries, I use Tea Tree Oil on my acne, and then go to sleep. This product hasn’t made me breakout or anything disastrous.
Truthfully, although it works well, I think I’m going to search around a bit more for a more effective nightly moisturizer which also treats acne, but again, isn’t too heavy. While this stuff is good, especially for the price, it doesn’t have the wow-factor that I generally look for in skincare products.
Here’s what it looks like:
The product costs around $8, and I found it at Walmart. I’m sure you could find it at any drugstore, though.
Sam Barks in her role as Eponine in Les Miserables.
In anticipation of the film adaption of Les Miserables, I put together an outfit in spirit of my favorite Les Mis- Eponine! Her role in the play is probably on of the most tragic character representations I’ve seen in theatre, and her style is banging!
This is an updated version of the look she wears while singing On My Own.
So, last night I took the initiative to watch the Les Miserables trailer about sixteen times over again, while I drank a mug of the best pre-packaged tea. Ever.
Both a review on the tea and the film will be present in the near future, but in the meantime, try watching this trailer and telling me you don’t want that stuff in your eyeballs forever.
Hey kids! I’m back at school (where my internet is much more cooperative), and I’m ready for three more weeks of preparations for my exams before I finally get to come home for a full three weeks! While I love it here at university with the new friends I made, as well as my boyfriend, being back with my family and friends- and Ralph the ManCat- is something that I’ve been needing a lot lately. Since this is my first year at school, exams are weighing heavy on my mind and my stress levels have been really high. Your high school teachers aren’t kidding- college is hard!
And all that stress has been making me gain a little weight, which just makes me feel more stressed. I just have to keep reminding myself to breathe- weight can be lost with patience and the right lifestyle choices!
That’s all I have to say with this update. Before, I go, I just wanted to say hello to my new subscribers! Thanks for subbing, guys. Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday!
I’ve always loved Kirsten Stewart, despite how much my friends hate her. After seeing her portray Joan Jett in The Runaways I’ve had a really deep appreciation for her, and her style! I love how she can always look put together, but with a little edge.
